Many do so in extremely vulnerable situations, as they are estimated to capture only a small fraction of the economic value they generate, estimated at 5%*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"alignwide has-text-align-wide\">Our work focuses on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div id=\"custom_accordion-block_c953370b3f5a2e46aac0422a78c6c28b\" class=\"custom_accordion custom-accordion full alignfull\">\n    \n<div id=\"accordion-item-block_4131ebaf17fbdc6a496459c280a67486\" class=\"accordion-item js-accordion-item accordion-item full alignfull\">\n\n  <h3 class=\"accordion-item__title\"><a class=\"js-accordion-trigger accordion-item__trigger\" href=\"#\">Formalising recovery activities<\/a><\/h3>\n  <div class=\"accordion-item__content\">\n    \n\n<p>We formalise recovery activities by promoting association and supporting business registration, as well as introducing support tools -such as uniforms and personal protective equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n  <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"accordion-item-block_458b8226b22446d5630c64cdd7fe900f\" class=\"accordion-item js-accordion-item accordion-item full alignfull\">\n\n  <h3 class=\"accordion-item__title\"><a class=\"js-accordion-trigger accordion-item__trigger\" href=\"#\">Training plans<\/a><\/h3>\n  <div class=\"accordion-item__content\">\n    \n\n<p>We create training plans focused on the acquisition of administrative and technical skills, as well as the creation of specific training programmes for both waste pickers and municipal staff.
