When Omplim was founded in 2017, it was driven by the desire to disrupt the established practices of the real estate sector and the need to align our business model with the principles of impact economics. We chose R4S because we needed expert guidance to help us catalyze this purpose. We were acutely aware that we operate in a complex sector and sought in R4S the strategic rigor to transform our technical expertise into a tool for real change. As a result of this collaboration, we began developing our Sustainability Index, a tool that allows us to manage and define our projects, taking into account their environmental, social, and economic impact. Today, we see that the value is not just theoretical: we have definitive results that prove another way of building is possible. R4S not only helped us define who we wanted to be, but also gave us the necessary metric rigor to demonstrate to our clients that applying a holistic view of sustainability to their projects is the best guarantee of quality and a future.

They offered us a proposal tailored exactly to our needs, with transparent explanations and constant support throughout the entire process. Working with R4S has been a profoundly enriching experience. I remember, as an anecdote, the initial distrust on the very first day, when we didn’t yet know each other but were already introducing them to the entire Management team. We wondered whether they would truly be able to grasp our reality, connect with the organization’s culture, and add value beyond the usual speeches. But that feeling quickly faded. What we have valued most is their way of doing consultancy: with professionalism, steering clear of generic formulas, and paying attention to detail. Their approach goes far beyond the strategic framework: they have helped us reconnect with the essence of what we do and why we do it. R4S do quite a bit of work for the WB globally and in Latam especially. I worked with Pep and his team in Mozambique to find destination solutions for waste management regarding our investment in the tourist sector in the area. They do excellent work and are real out-of-the-box thinkers.

R4S was key in our journey toward B Corp certification, providing a strategic approach that identified strengths and areas for improvement while aligning our sustainability initiatives with required standards. Their ability to adapt the requirements to the agri-food sector maximized our positive impact and strengthened our mission as a responsible company. Their professionalism, proactive attitude, and skill in engaging departments fostered efficient and collaborative work. The Action Plan transformed our organization, increasing our commitment to a purpose beyond economic profit. This project marked a turning point in our sustainability strategy.

The support from R4S has been crucial in getting us to where we are currently: on the verge of becoming part of the B Corp community. Working systematically through each of the different areas with the close guidance we received has been key to achieving success. The interaction with the R4S team, as well as the treatment and communication, have been excellent. To become a B Corp, you must align with the requirements of the standard, which inevitably leads to a high-level reflection on the practices implemented so far and adjust or improve them if necessary to achieve the expected outcome. For this purpose, the action plan designed by R4S, specially tailored to our business model, has been of great assistance. The guidance and ongoing support we have received have significantly facilitated the process. It has simply been an excellent experience!

Working with the R4S team – both in the B Corp certification process and, currently, in the risk identification, dual materiality and reporting projects – has helped us to find that space in which we can think strategically to activate the levers that bring the greatest value to Camper. Initially, we were looking for a consultancy that could guide us through the strategic definition of sustainability, and their experience and methodology guided us flawlessly. From the strategic reflection to the definition of a new plan incorporating the stakeholders’ vision, as well as our inclusion in the B Corp movement. Counting with R4S’ leadership in our project to certify our sustainable business model is crucial to mobilizing all the organization keys with a very well-defined action plan. We also very much welcome the support in collecting information and translate it into useful policies, aligned with the company and taking advantage of certain steps forward in terms of sustainability that are already being highly valued by people in the organization and community around us.

Our experience with R4S has not been based on hiring a service, but on building together a pioneering model at an international level. From ACCIÓ, as leaders of the Catalan cluster policy, we have incorporated shared value as a nuclear aspect into our strategy. R4S plays a key role in the development of our model with an original methodology that has, for the moment, impacted over 600 companies in areas such as fashion, sport or mental health. The journey is just at its beginning, and I am convinced that it will allow us to contribute to a new model of capitalism.

R4S is a crucial ally for Amigos del Lago de Atitlan because it has guided, advised and accompanied us towards the transformation of a project into a sustainable enterprise. Together we are building the path towards the implementation of the first cooperative of women waste pickers in Central America.  Their experience in inclusive green projects in Latin America, their environmental and economic approach, and their passion and commitment to their projects, make R4S a very important partner and ally to achieve our goals and to improve the quality of life of the indigenous women of the Lake Atitlan Basin.

R4S is a close ally of the Avina Foundation and the Latitud R platform, with whom we share a common vision of impact in Inclusive Recycling and work together to promote this agenda in Latin America, especially supporting organisational processes of cooperatives and groups of waste pickers and recyclers, and we hope to expand collaboration in areas such as knowledge management. R4S is an ally that allows us to advance in our purpose of transforming solid waste management in Latin America and the Caribbean with an inclusive and circular model.
